Yes, any section can be replaced as long as the section designs are still available. When there are 2 sections, in most cases, the cost plus the labor to replace them may be close to the cost of a brand new garage door that will include all new tracks, springs, and hardware.

Why would I want a belt drive opener?
Belt drive openers are the smoothest, most quiet openers and have an excellent reliability record. They are recommended for use whenever noise and vibration are important considerations. If there is a living space above or near the garage, the belt drive openers will minimize the amount of noise generated by the opener.

Why does my garage door reverse as it is closing?
The sensors attached to the track protect the door opening with an invisible beam. Clear any obstruction from between the safety sensors. Check each sensor for a steady glowing indicator light (usually green and yellow). If one of the indicator lights is flickering, the sensors may be slightly misaligned.

Can I use a compact florescent light bulb in my opener?
You may use florescent or "energy saver" light bulbs. Be aware that certain compact florescent light bulbs may transmit radio frequency interference. Test the range of your remote before and after installing this type of bulb. What maintenance is required on a steel door?
Durham Doors recommends that every six months, or as required, wash the door and windows with a mild soap (such as car wash soap or hand dishwashing soap) and water. Rinse thoroughly. Lubricate track and hinges only with a silicone or Teflon-based spray. Then open and close the door to spread out the lubricant.
